Questioning Sen. Tom Cotton about Trump's Arlington Cemetery visit, Meet the Press host Kristen Welker said Biden and Harris had both met Gold Star families at the 2021 dignified transfer of the 13 service members killed at Abbey Gate.

What actually happened

Biden attended the dignified transfer at Dover, but Harris did not. The show posted a correction on X the same day. It said the broadcast had incorrectly 'implied' that both attended and confirmed that Harris was not there. Critics noted that Welker had stated it outright.
