What was reported

The Times and AP repeatedly reported that all 17 U.S. intelligence agencies agreed Russia had interfered in the 2016 election, using the figure to fault Trump for doubting it.

What actually happened

The January 2017 intelligence assessment was produced by the ODNI from CIA, FBI and NSA work, and James Clapper had testified that only those agencies were directly involved. On June 29, 2017, the Times corrected a June 25 article to say the assessment was not approved by all 17 organizations. On June 30, the AP issued a clarification covering stories from April 6, June 2, June 26 and June 29.

The proof

The NYT's June 29, 2017 correction and the AP's June 30, 2017 clarification.
