Portrayed Biden's climate agenda as a plan to restrict what Americans eat.

What was reported

A Fox News graphic said Biden's climate requirements would cut 90% of red meat from diets, down to about four pounds a year, and Fox hosts said the plan meant no burgers on the Fourth of July.

What actually happened

The figures came from a 2020 University of Michigan study that predated and had nothing to do with Biden's plan; the link was made by a Daily Mail article. The White House said its climate plans included no limits on meat. Fox anchor John Roberts aired a correction saying the graphic and script wrongly implied the study was part of Biden's plan.

The proof

Fox's on-air correction, the study co-author's statement that the research was unrelated to Biden, and PolitiFact's Pants on Fire rating.
