What was reported

Citing two people familiar with the matter, MS NOW reported on air that FBI Director Kash Patel had landed in Russia for a scheduled meeting.

What actually happened

Patel was at a law enforcement appreciation event at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. The FBI posted side-by-side video of the segment and Patel at the event. The same day, MS NOW correspondent Ken Dilanian corrected the report on air. He said Patel had not landed in Russia and remained in the U.S., that the timing of any trip was unclear, and that the network regretted the error.

The proof

Video of Patel at Liberty University the same day, and MS NOW's on-air correction.
