What was reported

MSNBC contributor and former FBI official Frank Figliuzzi said on Morning Joe that FBI Director Kash Patel had reportedly been seen at nightclubs far more than in his office at the Hoover Building.

What actually happened

The claim rested on unnamed sources, and the network had not verified it. On the following Monday, co-host Jonathan Lemire called it a misstatement and said MSNBC had not verified it. Patel later sued Figliuzzi over the remark.
