What was reported

Headlines across outlets said Donald Trump had a crying baby and its mother thrown out of his Ashburn, Virginia rally.

What actually happened

Trump first said he liked the baby's noise, then joked that the baby could be taken out. The mother, Devan Ebert, said she had already chosen to leave and was walking out when he made the remark, that she laughed at it, and that no one removed her. PolitiFact rated Trump's complaint that the media got the story wrong as True.

The proof

The mother's own account, given to multiple outlets and PolitiFact, that she left voluntarily and was never ejected.
