What was reported
The widely cited Crystal Ball's final projection gave Hillary Clinton 322 electoral votes to Donald Trump's 216.
What actually happened
Trump won 306 pledged electoral votes, carrying Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin, which the Crystal Ball had allotted to Clinton. The next day Larry Sabato and his editors published a mea culpa saying they had blown it and had never once rated Clinton below 270.
